Food Allergy Support Workshop - May 16th

Investment: $35/per person, $60/ per couple
Food allergies are very serious and can be difficult to manage. There are significant health and safety risks along with emotional stress. We are happy to be able to provide education for families and much needed support. Sue Kelly (our facilitator) has an extensive background in supporting families successfully navigate food allergies. Susan Kelly received her BSN from The University of Scranton in 1996. She is a Registered Nurse who works for Dr. Marc Sicklick, an Allergist and Immunologist in Cedarhurst, NY. She is also a food allergy mom with over 11 years of personal experience.
Susan provides families with fact based education, support and teaches the skills needed to raise happy, healthy, and responsible children who manage this serious condition.
Her nursing background includes working in general medicine, cardiology, ICU, and the ER, in major hospitals on the East Coast.
Susan co-leads Friends Helping Friends Food Allergy Support Group and volunteers for the national allergy organization, FAACT, The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team, www.foodallergyawarenes.org.

In 2017, Susan received the Lynbrook Mayor’s Citizen of the Year Award for her advocacy work. Mayor Alan Beach recently appointed her as Lynbrook’s Health and Wellness Committee Chairperson.
